This week we will discuss the vast range of library careers that are available to you. Class Activity 1 On the whiteboard, write down where you would like to be employed. Do you want to work in public libraries? School libraries? Special libraries? other GLAM industries? Records management? Class Activity 2 Also on the whiteboard, write down your dream job within the library or other GLAM industries. Class Activity 3 What do you think are the main skills and knowledge that you will need to work in a library? Where can you look for jobs? One of your portfolio items is to research and find jobs within the library sector.
